JANEE has a BA in Theater from the University of Southern California and a MA in Theater from California State University, Northridge.  After graduating with her BA, Janee made a beeline to NYC and scored on a tiny studio apartment in the West Village, just a few blocks away from the infamous HB Studios. Janee studied Acting, Voice and Dancing at HB and also had the good fortune to sit in on Uta Hagen’s Master Class!  Other training includes Carol Weiss Musical Theater workshop, Rickie Gole – vocal teacher, and Kalmenson & Kalmenson Voiceover and Improv workshops. She has appeared in many plays at various venues around town – El Portal, Glendale Center Theater, Canyon Theater Guild, Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, Alex Theater, San Gabriel Civic Auditorium – to name a few.  Some of her favorite roles include:  Ida in “The Cemetery Club,”  Fruma Sarah in “Fiddler on the Roof,” Frau Schrader in “The Sound of Music,” Miss Hannigan in “Annie,” Alice in “You Can’t Take It With You,” Karen in “The Children’s Hour,”  Alice Kinnian in “Flowers for Algernon,” Stella in “Streetcar Named Desire,” Sheila in “Hair,” Mary Magdalene in “Godspell,” Anne in “A Little Night Music,” and Gertrude Stein in “Chamber Music.”   Her Directing credits include:  “The Crucible,” “A Christmas Carol” (a modern adaptation), “Ten Little Indians,” and “The Sound of Music.” Some of Janee’s special skills include: Singing, Dancing, Skiing, Horseback Riding, Scuba Diving, Yoga, Motorcycle Riding (M1 license), and most recently Dog Sled Musher!  But her greatest achievement is her beautiful daughter, Samantha.
