Sammie Wayne, IV is an actor, director, acting coach, and lighting designer.  He has won several theater awards for acting and lighting design. Sammie has acted in more than forty (40) stage plays. He has directed and designed lights for more than sixty (60).  Sammie is Technical Director for Barnsdall Gallery Theater and the Madrid Theater.

In addition, he works with several universities (USC, UCLA, Kaiser, West Coast University and Mt. St. Mary’s University) and their med-schools as a Standardized Patient.

Sammie has a B.S. in Computer Science from DePaul University (’84). From March 1987 to December of 1994, Sammie held a secret clearance with the U.S. government while working as a software engineer for Northrop Grumman. He left corporate America at the end of 1994.

On the GRT stage, Sammie was most recently seen in the role of Donald Curry in You Can’t Take It With You.
