Belinda Howell
Originally from LA, Belinda has lived on both West and East Coasts, and co-founded a theatre group on each. She received her MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts).
At GRT Belinda has appeared as Esther in Morning’s at Seven, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Marie in Calendar Girls and Mom in the world-premiere of A Nice Family Christmas. She was most recently seen on the GRT stage as one of the Jurors in Twelve Angry Jurors.
She is also a member of Little Fish Theatre and has appeared as the grande dame, Anna, in Donald Margulies’ The Country House and Phyllis, the neurotic therapist in Woody Allen’s Central Park West.
Other favorite roles include Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn in The Music Man (Highlands Theater, San Gabriel Civic and Alex Theatres), Helen, the social worker buried alive in Problem Child (Zephyr Theatre), and the award-winning ensemble production of Brecht on Brecht at The Atwater Playhouse.
Belinda was thrilled to be part of Ellis Island: The Dream of America, a multimedia event documenting the American immigrant experience with the Whittier Regional Symphony, voicing the powerful experiences of Lillian Galletta and Katherine Beychok in their own words.
