
Océane Rose Laurent
Océane Rose Laurent is a lifelong dancer who fell in love with acting. She is a recent graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC and a more distant graduate of Bowdoin College.
She has appeared on New York stages as Rodney in Small Mouth Sounds, Mrs. Mortar in The Children’s Hour, Corin the shepherd in As You Like It, and Lady M in a 15-minute Central Park production of Macbeth. She will play Crim in Canoe, Of Land, Of Water at the Hollywood Fringe Fest 2025.
She has also appeared in several independent short films, including the leading role in “Daydream” directed by Jeremy Bradford, “Au Pair-is” directed by Emily Rodriguez, and “This Is Where I Leave You” directed by Elijah Gatlin-Tyler.
Océane brings her multicultural upbringing to all her roles, having lived on both coasts of the US, Taiwan, and France. In addition to English, she speaks French, Italian, Mandarin, Shanghainese, and soon Spanish.
As a dancer, Océane has trained in ballet, modern, Broadway jazz, tap, and Chinese classical dance. She has also competed at the collegiate level in wushu (Chinese kung fu) and has studied stage combat under Brad Lemons, president of the American Association of Fight Directors. Her favorite weapons are straight sword and spear.
She is continuing her training at The Actors’ Gang in Culver City in their unique physical acting Style influenced by Commedia, Grotowski, Viewpoints, and Théâtre du Soleil.
