Darren Shepherd

Darren Shepherd is originally from San Jose, California, and began his filmmaking journey at age ten with a Super 8 camera and an early passion for visual storytelling. He studied at Playhouse West and The Barn, Clayton Rohner’s scene study workshop, and performed in The Red Badge of Courage under the direction of Lonny Chapman and Bus Stop at the Group Repertory Theatre.

As a screenwriter, Darren wrote the feature film “Wyatt Earp’s Revenge” (Sony Entertainment), starring Val Kilmer and Trace Adkins. He has also worked on numerous films in various creative capacities, collaborating with and learning from acclaimed filmmakers including Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton, Ron Howard, James Cameron, David Milch, and Norman Jewison — a journey that began with the mentorship of Lonny Chapman.
