HELPING PROVIDE NEGLECTED, ABUSED OR ABANDONED CHILDREN, A FULL DAY OF SINGING, GAMES, MAGIC, FOOD, GIFTS, LIVE THEATER AND SANTA
The Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre recently hosted its 40th Children’s Holiday Party.
It is a major event for all of us at the theatre and we strive to make this a very special moment and memory for the foster children of Hillsides, Hathaways, Vista Del Mar, Trinity, Rosemary’s Children Services and David and Margaret. We provide a light lunch, games, specialty performers, an original Christmas Musical (written each year by one of our own playwrights) and a special moment for each child to sit with Santa and receive a gift.
Our volunteers return each year to experience the absolute joy of seeing these children run open armed to hug and kiss our cast and crew, in spite of the neglect they have received. If you would like to get involved or donate to this event, please contact Janet Wood.
